What organization do you represent?: Harris Fire Long Term Recovery Coordinator

Tell us your story as it relates the San Diego Wildfires:: My family was evacuated on October 22, 2007. Thankfully we had an RV that 6 of us were able to stay in and function. We were displaced from our home for 5 days. Once we returned, I was approached by the Deerhorn Valley Fire Station Senior (now Captain Deede), telling me that as the Auxiliary President they needed Auxiliary to step up and help with the relief effort for the community of Deerhorn Valley and Jamul. That's when DV was open as a site for resourses and disaster efforts. I was ask to be Site Manager. From that point on I have been strictly involved in helping the Harris Fire Survivors of the 2007 October Wildfires.
I did not lose my house in the Fire, only on the second acre I lost 5 outbuildings. I was insured and have been covered complete and taken care of.

What is your experience with Green building/Energy Efficiency?: None right now, I have attend the 101 seminar with Laura. I am extremely interested in the process, procedure and methods that go in to Rebuilding Green.
