One savvy student’s graduate work is helping her to green San Diego! The 2007 wildfires swept through Tiffany Saleh’s neighborhood, the Trails at Rancho Bernardo. Although her home was spared, she could not ignore what was lost all around her. Saleh wanted to help, so she created
www.greenmadeeasy.info, a website for eco-friendly choices on rebuilding. “I hope it offers people options of which they were not aware of and prompts them to make the environmentally-friendly choice when rebuilding,” said Saleh. Much like Saleh’s mission, Rebuild Central is dedicated to helping fire survivors through our workshops, resources and community involvement. “My hope is really to use my education to be a positive part of the rebuild process, and to help green up our neighborhood.”
